The Society for Horticultural Research and Development (SHRD) was established on May 22, 2013 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860. Today it stands as a vibrant platform for horticultural research under the National Agricultural Research System.
SHRD is fully committed to the furtherance of all research and developmental activities, including education in all branches of horticultural sciences. The Society publishes the peer-reviewed journal Current Horticulture (NAAS Rating 4.62) and convenes the biennial Indian Horticulture Summit.
